PAR AGNES V."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">French New Wave filmmaker Anges Varda embarks on creating a filmic portrait of Jane Birkin through conversations, reenactments, and collaboration between two artists with very distinct voices and visions. Birkin\u2019s anxieties around turning 40 sparked the creation of this film, and so Varda set out to make this film over the course of the years after her birthday, exploring that womanhood doesn\u2019t end but can transform into something even more fantastical.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The film is assembled through imagined vignettes of Jane\u2019s desires, fantasies, and aspirations. Varda takes us on a grand tour through Birkin\u2019s life as a muse, singer, femme fatale, mother, martyr in imagined scenarios that are spectacularly crafted by the auteur&#8217;s surrealist, expressionist style.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"JANE B.
